# SMS configuration (API)

Thanks to this integration, you can send text messages to your contact base directly from automation paths and campaigns within User.com.

### Before you begin

To configure the SMS connection, you will need an API key from your MessageFlow account. You can generate it in the panel under the Account -> Settings -> API section.

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION**

The API key used for this specific integration requires special server-side configuration. Before you start the process in the User.com panel, contact our support team at <support@messageflow.com>. Inform them about your intention to integrate with the User.com platform, and we will immediately activate the appropriate permissions for your key.

### Next steps: Integration verification

To ensure the connection works correctly, send a test SMS campaign directly from an automation path in User.com to your own phone number. The status of the sent message and the final delivery report from the operator should immediately appear in the logs of your MessageFlow panel.
