Booster for mobile push campaign

Booster is a tool that enables automated message follow-ups within a campaign. Available in the MessageFlow panel, this feature allows you to schedule an automatic message resend within a selected timeframe (from 2 hours to 7 days) to recipients who did not open the original message. Booster is available for Email, SMS, and PUSH campaigns.

For push campaigns, the Booster function allows you to send an additional SMS message.

Example use case

You’re launching a mobile push campaign promoting a product sale that ends in 7 days. After sending the campaign, you receive a delivery report. Three days before the promotion ends, an automated follow-up SMS is sent to users who didn’t open the initial message.

Billing

Messages sent via campaigns with the Booster enabled are billed according to your account's general billing settings and your current agreement. All follow-up SMS messages will appear in the Campaign tab with the name “Booster for....”.

Where to find the Booster option in a push campaign

The Booster option appears in the final step of creating a PUSH campaign, in the delivery summary. It is disabled by default and must be manually activated.

Permissions for using the Booster in push campaigns

If your account does not have SMS sending enabled, the Booster option will be grayed out. A message will prompt you to contact our Sales team to activate the feature.

Audience group

Booster recipients are selected from the audience of the original campaign. The system identifies users who, within a set timeframe (2 hours to 7 days after the main send), did not open or click the original message.

Importantly, the selection is made just before the Booster is sent. This means if a user opens or clicks the original message right before the follow-up is triggered, or if they are deleted or blocked, they will not be included in the Booster send.

The audience for the Booster message does not appear in your group list — you can find it in the campaign list report. (View campaign list documentation)

The Booster will not be sent to:

  • Contacts who opened or clicked the original message

  • Deleted contacts

  • Blocked contacts

  • Contacts without a phone number

  • Groups with 0 contacts

  • Groups with 100% open rate from the original campaign (in this case, Booster will be canceled and you’ll receive a notification)

  • Contacts marked as "Waiting" after the main campaign (contacts with "Error" status will still be included)

Unsubscribing from a Booster campaign works the same as unsubscribing from any other campaign.
